I am just so in awe of their faithfulness and support in this project and truly grateful for the opportunity at which they have given me to offer the shirt to other people who might have missed the first two rounds as well.
God is so stinking good, and the way he has moved in the hearts of people through their interest and support in this project continues to blow my mind.
Thank you Mosaic Lincoln for taking a stand against apathy and pouring out love on the people in the Horn of Africa.

Together We Caused Change.
Who would have imagined that something as simple as a t shirt could impact the lives of millions of people? In early September the famine in the Horn of Africa and the people it was effecting laid heavily on my heart. Apathy was no longer an option… how could this happen to hundreds of people and yet so many of us don’t even have a clue the severity of its damage?
Through two separate pre-order sessions with the help of friends, family, church families, connections via twitter and the interest of World Vision ACT:S we were able to raise $2,138 to go towards World Vision’s efforts to bring relief to the Horn of Africa.

It still blows my mind that God used something like this to move in big ways… $2,138 has the potential to feed a family of 6 for almost two years. Just think about that… an amount that is commonly a well earned monthly income for a single person here in the U.S. could feed a family of SIX for almost 2 years. How’s that for perspective?
I just want to extend a thank you to each and every person that invested their time, finances, and heart into this project. I am eternally grateful for your generosity and faithfulness. Without you this could not have been possible. Together we have caused change.

Alone we can do so little; together we can do so much. - Hellen Keller
Today is the LAST DAY to be a part of a movement to help create change in the lives of millions. By purchasing an #EndFamine t shirt you are not only providing food, water, shelter and medical supplies… you’re not only bringing awareness… YOU are bringing hope to the hopeless, YOU are showing love and compassion to a nation of people who feel alone and forgotten. YOU are making a difference in someone’s life, you are SAVING lives.
Visit www.ashleighbrady.com to purchase your #EndFamine shirt. 100% of the profit goes to World Vision’s efforts to bring relief in the Horn of Africa. The purchase of one shirt will provide a family of 6 with food for a FULL week.
The #EndFamine pre-order ENDS Monday (9/26) at MIDNIGHT (CST). Together we can bring relief and raise awareness through something as simple as a t shirt. Take action. Cause Change. #EndFamine.
Can a t shirt cause change?
The people in the Horn of Africa are in crisis. NPR reported that “30 percent of children [are] acutely malnourished and 4 in every 10,000 [are] dying each day.” That is an incredibly large number of people dying because they lack in food, water and medical care.
What you see in the image above is a financial breakdown of the project I launched on Monday. When averaged out between the total amount of shirts being sold (50 or 100) approximately 70% of your purchase will go towards funding World Vision’s efforts to bring relief and hope back to the Horn of Africa.
And in case you’re wondering what “Cost of Production” stands for, it is simply the amount it will cost to have the shirts printed and shipped by the awesome Terminus Tees.
I read this quote not long after I found out about the famine and it really hit home for me:
Americans are blessed with great plenty; we are a generous people and we have a moral obligation to assist those who are suffering from poverty, disease, war and famine. - Adam Schiff
Africa is a nation that has suffered from poverty, disease, war, and hunger for years. It’s not something we haven’t seen before. But have we become so used to the idea of Africa suffering that we are numb to their cries for help?
Can a t shirt cause change? If we come together and raise awareness, I think it can.
I don’t know about you, but I am blessed beyond my wildest dreams. I have lived a life where I have never had to wonder where my next meal will come from much less my next week or month’s worth of meals. We are called to serve, aid, and love on people even if it may call for some bit of sacrifice on our own part. Now is your chance to make an impact and cause change for the millions of people in the Horn of Africa suffering from starvation, malnutrition and sickness. A t shirt won’t save the entire nation… but if we collectively take action and make a stand it could have the power to cause a ripple effect in the movement to end hunger. Visit www.ashleighbrady.com to learn how you can change someone’s future by purchasing a t shirt.
